The ESC Atlas Website and all of its component elements, including text, graphics, images, hyperlinks and other materials supplied by ESC contributors and/or third parties, are for general educational and informational purposes. The Website is aimed at a professional-level audience.

The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) does its utmost to provide users with available and verified information and tools but cannot inspect all information to determine their truthfulness. ESC does not guarantee the correctness, reliability,  accuracy, completeness , relevance and currency of data published, nor its appropriateness to any user's requirements, and disclaims all warranties and representations with regards to the information contained on the ESC Atlas Website.

ESC shall not be liable for any unauthorised use of data collected from external sources by ESC members.

Some data displayed on ESC Atlas Website are attributed to a third party, it is the responsibility of the user to obtain permission from the intellectual property holder for reuse and/or reproduction of such data. The risk of claims resulting from infringement of any third-party-owned component in the data displayed on ESC Atlas Website rests solely with the user.

When sharing or redistributing text, graphs, data, screenshots of the visualizations from the ESC Atlas of Cardiology the following attribution should be used. “Downloaded from the ESC Atlas of Cardiology website eatlas.escardio.org. Accessed on: [date of access]. [data source information].” Data source information for a given variable can be found on the top of the page for that variable, below the definition.
Example of attribution of materials from age-standardized CVD mortality among females: “Downloaded from the ESC Atlas of Cardiology website eatlas.escardio.org. Accessed on: 23.03.2023. Based on raw detailed mortality data from the WHO Mortality Database https://www.who.int/data/data-collection-tools/who-mortality-database.”

The ESC reserves the right to add, modify or remove any information, products and/or services from the Website at any time and without notice.
